The Dead Guy has received Gold IPPY Award in 2009

One of my favorite mysteries of all time. Well written and tautly paced, The Dead Guy is impossible to put down. As his lifeblood ticks away, Jack Thigpen tries to track down his best friend's killer. The Dead Guy is funny, wise, and suspenseful.

[First place in Mystery]

Within the tough and technical environment of wildland fire fighting, Kurt Kamm embeds a dramatically suspenseful story. The reader can't wait to turn each page, hoping for clues to the identity of a California fire bug. The tale is an excellent one to follow, as Kamm emerses you in two worlds: the sick mind of a murderous arsonist, and the determined and very human professionals dedicated to stopping the arsonist and fighting the fires set. Throughout the book he accurately portrays the science of wildland fires, fire weather, and fire fighting. The reader will learn as well as be entertained.

Uncle Si's Secret has received a 2009 Published Fiction Award from PSWA

This is a very good read. The plot moves at a good pace and keeps you on your toes trying to fathom the ending. It is hard to believe that this is a first novel. I am anxiously awaiting the next book by this author as I am sure a talent of the caliber will have a lengthy history of novels. Thanks for an engrossing read.

Red Flag Warning has won first prize in the 2010 Infinite Writer fiction contest

Kurt Kamm has gotten into the wildland fire scene in such depth that you feel he must be a fireman who has fought hundreds of these awful battles. In addition, he creates highly memorable characters. The only problem is that the book
ends. You don't want it to end without knowing more about what happens to all of the people you have gotten to know so well. Red Flag Warning is a totally absorbing read. This is fiction with stark frightening reality. You will chew through it like a great
piece of home made pie.
--John S. Haskell
Red Flag Warning has also received honorable mention in the Public Safety Writers Association 2010 Writing Competition.
